Introducing the next generation of solid polymer resin materials, Poly-Pro Plus
Poly-Pro Plus, or "P-3", is a polypropylene based, solid polymer resin material made to replace polyethylene. Unlike polyethylene or "HDPE", permanent marker cleans off completely, never leaving a trace or "ghost" behind. P-3 is also much harder than HDPE, much more difficult to scratch or dent. P-3 is lighter in weight, less expensive to ship and handle. P-3 is homogeneous, the same material and color throughout. Tests confirm P-3 has a slower flame spread than HDPE. With all these advantages, P-3 is no more expensive than HDPE.
P-3 is harder, has greater tensile strength and yet is lighter in weight than HDPE. Installations are stronger, more rigid and the material is less expensive to handle.
P-3 is far more chemical resistant than HDPE . Ink from markers and pens cleans completely with a mild cleaner and soft bristle brush.
P-3 is homogeneous , the same material and color throughout. Repairs never reveal another color underneath the surface.
Try these tests yourself!
With a parmanent marker, write on a sample of P-3 as well as on a sample of HDPE. After a few days, clean the samples with graffiti remover and a soft bristle brush. You will find the P-3 sample comes completely clean, while the HDPE still shows the marks.
Place a P-3 sample on a flat hard surface. Using the corner of a sample of HDPE like a hammer, strike the P-3 as hard as you can. Now reverse the process, striking the HDPE sample with the P-3 sample. You will find that P-3 puts deep scars in the HDPE. The corner of the HDPE sample becomes rounded from striking the P-3 sample.
P-3 is the benchmark to which other materials must rise and material specifications should read, "Poly-Pro Plus or approved equal".
